TYLin is seeking an Airfield Senior Civil Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of complex airport projects. You will guide projects from concept through construction, acting as a technical resource for clients and teams across aviation initiatives.

The role requires extensive airport experience, strong knowledge of FAA criteria, and the ability to mentor engineers while coordinating with diverse disciplines on major airfield developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• Approximately 12 or more years of progressive civil engineering experience with significant airport/aviation exposure.
• Experience with airport design including runway/taxiway geometry, grading, drainage, and utilities.
• Strong knowledge of FAA design standards and AIP-funded project processes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D; ability to produce and review plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of complex airfield and airport civil projects from concept through construction.
• Serve as airfield discipline lead on multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with planners, architects, and engineers.
• Develop airfield layouts, grading, drainage, pavement, and utilities; review technical memos and cost estimates.
• Apply FAA standards, Advisory Circulars, and airport requirements to project development.
• Provide construction-phase services, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and site observations.
• Mentor and develop engineers and designers; manage scopes, budgets, and client communications.
