Bridger Aerospace is an aerial firefighting company based in Belgrade, Montana, at Bozeman Yellowstone Airport (KBZN). From a single plane, it has grown to operate a significant Air Attack and the largest Super Scooper fleet in the U.S., focusing on wildfires, fire suppression, and aerial fire mapping to provide modern, effective firefighting capabilities.

About The Role

We seek a driven individual who thrives under pressure and can meet deadlines with minimal supervision. From April to September, you will relocate Mobile Repair Units across wildfire sites in the U.S. During winter, from October to March, your focus will shift to maintaining our CL-215T aircraft fleet. The position involves a 12-hour on/12-hour off schedule year-round, with no requirement to reside in Belgrade, MT.

Responsibilities

• Transport Mobile Repair Units to fire bases across the US and Canada.
• Collaborate with pilots and maintainers for daily maintenance.
• Participate as part of the team to ensure mission success.
• Perform maintenance and inspections on CL-215T aircraft and components.
• Conduct heavy maintenance checks at Belgrade and travel to fire bases during deployments.
• Handle unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting in field environments.
• Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and directives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records per FAA and company standards.
• Use software like Winair for work order management.
• Work independently or in a team as needed.
• Perform engine ground runs and taxi tests.
• Keep work areas and tools organized according to standards.
• Complete training and follow safety policies.
• Maintain Ground Support Equipment used in maintenance.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
• Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and maintain medical certification.
• A&P License required.
• U.S. citizenship or legal ability to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.
• Ability to be insured on company vehicles.
• Ability to travel internationally as needed.
• Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure without supervision.
• Lift 50 lbs.
• Personal tools required for work in Belgrade; company tools provided elsewhere.
• Pass criminal background check.
