Bridger Aerospace is an aerial firefighting company based in Belgrade, Montana, located at Bozeman Yellowstone Airport (KBZN). It was founded in 2014 to support front-line firefighters with world-leading technology and aerial fire suppression systems. We have grown from operating a single plane to commanding a significant Air Attack and the largest Super Scooper fleet in the U.S. in less than eight years.Bridger is a leader in fighting wildfires, specializing in Air Attack, Fire Suppression, and Aerial Fire-Mapping technologies. Meeting the needs of the growing threat of economic and environmental damage caused by wildfires and supporting ground-based firefighters is our priority.

About the Role

Bridger Aerospace is looking for a highly driven individual who thrives under pressure and can meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision. From April to September, during fire season, you will be responsible for relocating our Mobile Repair Units to active wildfire sites and fire bases across the United States. During the winter maintenance period, from October to March, your focus will shift to the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of our CL-215T aircraft fleet.

This position works a 12 on / 12 off day schedule year-round, there is no requirement to live in Belgrade, MT.

Reports to: Maintenance Crew Chief

What You’ll Do:

  • Transport Mobile Repair Units to designated fire bases across the US and Canada.
  • Collaborate with aircraft pilots and maintainers to perform daily maintenance tasks.
  • Actively participate as a member of the team to ensure the success of each mission.
  • Perform maintenance and inspections on CL-215T aircraft, engines, propellers, and components.
  • Perform heavy maintenance checks at home base (Belgrade, MT). Travel with aircraft to various fire base locations during fire deployments.
  • Perform unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting in a field/AOG environment.
  • Read and interpret technical publications such as maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogues, service bulletins, engineering orders and airworthiness directives.
  • Completes maintenance records in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
  • Maintain work order status using Winair or other maintenance tracking software.
  • Capable of working independently or with a team as required.
  • Perform engine ground runs and taxi tests.
  • Maintain work area and tool control in Accordance with Company Standards and Procedures.
  • Maintain your company training requirements and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used in the field for maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A (CDL) or the ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire date.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam and drug screening and obtain/maintain medical certification as required for CDL Class A holders.
  • A&P License Required.
  • U.S. Citizenship or ability to work in the U.S. required.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Ability to be insured on company vehicles.
  • Ability to Travel to Canada, Europe, or other international locations, as needed.
  • Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations (FAR).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under no supervision and high pressure.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Personal tools required when working in Belgrade, MT only. Company tools are provided for any work away from home base.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
