Job summary

GMX Aviation Services LLC is seeking an experienced Aircraft Structural Mechanic in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on performing structural inspections, repairs, modifications, and fabrication on aircraft and components in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer manuals, engineering drawings, and company procedures.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of aircraft structural repair experience in a Part 145 environment, strong interpretation of drawings, and the ability to work safely

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• FAA Airframe Certificate preferred; A&P Certificate preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 4 years of aircraft structural repair experience in a Part 145 Repair Station, MRO, military, or commercial aviation environment.
• Experience working on transport-category aircraft preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and structural repair manuals.
• Working knowledge of FAA Part 145 regulations and quality standards.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation.
• Must be able to pass a plate test.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural repairs and modifications on aircraft and components.
• Remove, repair, fabricate, and installs sheet metal, composite, and bonded structures.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, SRMs, and technical data.
• Perform drilling, riveting, fastening, fitting, trimming, and sealing of aircraft structures.
• Fabricate replacement parts using approved materials and methods.
• Conduct inspections to identify corrosion, cracks, dents, and other structural damage.
• Complete repairs in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and Repair Station procedures.
• Document maintenance performed using company maintenance records and work orders.
• Ensure tooling and equipment are maintained in serviceable condition.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality standards; coordinate with QA/Engineering/Inspection as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area; support aircraft return-to-service schedules.
