Job summary

GDC Technics in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic to perform day-to-day aircraft maintenance, including preservation and letter checks, reporting to a Project Manager.

The ideal candidate has a valid A&P license and at least 2 years of commercial aircraft maintenance or modification experience, with strong ability to read manuals, troubleshoot systems, and work with ground support equipment.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of commercial aircraft maintenance or modification experience.
• Valid A&P license is required.
• Education from FAA-approved maintenance program preferred.
• FAA GEN-FAM knowledge for B777, B787, A319/320/321 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets maintenance manuals and service bulletins to determine repair methods.
• Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components.
• Maintains communications with Company personnel and management.
• Ensures maintenance actions comply with FAA regulations and company policies.
• Performs storage, lubrication and inspection of airframes per manuals.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems to determine defects.
• Performs aircraft rigging as required.
• Familiar with Illustrated Parts Breakdown for parts identification.
• Operates Ground Support Equipment as needed.
