Job summary

Republic Airways Inc. seeks an experienced structural engineering professional responsible for ensuring airworthiness and safety of aircraft structures. You will design, analyze, and maintain structural integrity, coordinating with OEMs to implement modifications and repairs in compliance with regulations.

The role involves collaboration with maintenance teams, reporting, and continual improvement to support airline performance. Travel may be required to supplier sites and training programs.

Qualifications

• FAA Mechanic Certificate with A&P rating or foreign equivalent.
• Associate degree (A.A./A.S.) in Aviation or related technical field or equivalent combination.
• At least 3 years of experience in related engineering/aircraft maintenance.
• Thorough understanding of 14 CFR maintenance and airworthiness requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OEMs, STC Holders, and DER teams to diagnose structural issues and recommend compliant repairs.
• Analyze and approve drawings, specifications, and documentation for aircraft modifications, repairs, and upgrades.
• Develop work cards for structural inspections, repairs, and continued airworthiness.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Teams to ensure repairs follow published instructions.
• Track structural repairs for aging aircraft and data analysis.
• Provide technical expertise during inspections, maintenance checks, and investigations.
• Engage suppliers to evaluate materials and technologies for structural applications.
• Serve as liaison for OEMs and suppliers to ensure timely support.
• Prepare detailed reports for regulatory submissions and internal records.
• Stay updated on industry and regulatory changes to improve processes.
