Republic Airways Inc. seeks an experienced structural engineering professional responsible for ensuring airworthiness and safety of aircraft structures. FAA Mechanic Certificate with a rating of Airframe & Powerplant or foreign equivalent Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) in Aviation (any discipline) or a related technical field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 3 years of experience in related engineering and/or aircraft maintenance Requires a thorough understanding and working knowledge of all appropriate maintenance and airworthiness requirements of 14 CFR. (i.e., Parts 1, 21, 23, 25, 43, 45, 47, 65, 91, and 121) and manuals required by 14 CFR Parts 121 and 133
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Aviation (any discipline) Six Sigma or Lean Processes, certificate
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction. Decisions require thought and may not be structured. Decisions tend to short term and usually of moderate cost.
