Job summary

Airbus Americas Customer Services, Inc. in Wichita, Kansas seeks a Customer Service Engineer to join the Customer Engineering Support team. You will address technical queries on aircraft structure and systems, delivering timely solutions and coordinating with global teams.

The role requires a BSc/BEng or equivalent, 5+ years in airline/OEM/MRO environments, and the ability to read engineering drawings and manuals. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Science/Engineering degree or equivalent in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years engineering experience in airline/OEM/MRO environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical docs (SRM, SB, IPC).
• Knowledge of maintenance repair practices, equipment and methods.

Responsibilities

• Manage repair solution from customer submittal through final approval (RDAF).
• Analyze queries related to structural damages against SRM and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain 24/7 interaction with Repair Solutions team across global regions.
• Liaise with Design Offices to ensure timely repair definitions and justifications.
• Collaborate with Airbus Spares/Satair to consider parts availability in repairs.
• Update structure repair documentation with SRM when gaps are found.
• Transfer in-service experience to management and other divisions as needed.
• Use SAP-based TechRequest to record technical queries and outputs.
• Coordinate with Airbus Field Service and AOG centers as needed.
• Attend meetings for spares escalation and safety-critical item monitoring.
• Collaborate across cultures and time zones with airlines and MROs.
