Job summary

Textron Aviation Inc. in Columbus, GA is offering a Propeller Design Engineer - Intern position to design, develop, and test aircraft propeller components using Catia V5/V6. You will work under supervision to meet customer requirements and contribute on real projects.

Requires pursuing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering. Prior internship/Co-op experience is beneficial, with strong communication and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous internship or Coop experience is beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accountability are valued.
• 3D graphic design experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manages planning and coordination of engineering projects.
• Coordinates with internal customers and suppliers on manufacturability, cost, and schedule.
• Uses advanced techniques to provide technical solutions across tasks.
• Builds prototypes of system components for evaluation and testing.
• Assists in creating test procedures and coordinating testing.
• Works in cross-functional teams and manages ambiguity.
• Acts as liaison with external representatives.
• Improves daily processes to meet customer requirements.
• Recommends innovations to improve quality and efficiency.
