Job summary

Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related technical field. This paid internship runs 10 weeks in summer, onsite in Wichita, KS, with professional development and networking opportunities at Textron Aviation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related technical degree.
• Working knowledge of FAA and/or Military processes and procedures to support certification schedules is beneficial.
• Experience with CATIA V5 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate designs utilizing CATIA V5 design and drafting software.
• 3D model development in support of detail, assembly and installation drawings.
• Support build of prototypes of systems components for testing; set up and run laboratory simulations.
• Assist in the creation of test plans and reports.
• Create presentations to convey test results, design issues, or trade study recommendations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Tooling, Technical Publications, and other areas.
