Job summary

Hartzell Propeller in Piqua, Ohio, is offering an engineering internship that provides hands-on experience across mechanical and aerospace projects. You will support basic CAD tasks, participate in shop and lab activities, and assist with fabrication and testing of components and assemblies.

You will create and update engineering documents, BOMs, and process specs while researching new materials and technologies.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited university pursuing a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree.
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Can work 40 hours per week.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
• Minimum 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Support basic CAD design tasks and shop/lab activities.
• Assist fabrication and testing of components, assemblies, and prototypes.
• Contribute to design/build of tools, fixtures, and test apparatus.
• Collect and analyze engineering data and document results.
• Update engineering documentation such as BOMs, process specifications, standard work instructions, and tool sheets.
• Research new technologies and materials, and share findings with the team.
