Job summary

Textron Aviation in Columbus, GA is seeking a Propeller Design Engineer intern to contribute to the design, development and testing of propeller components using Catia V5/V6, under supervision. You will assist in prototyping and testing activities and collaborate with a diverse team of engineers.

The internship runs 10 weeks in the summer, full-time onsite, providing mentorship, real project work, and exposure to Textron’s aviation technologies. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Authorized to work in the U.S. for Textron Aviation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and coordinate engineering projects.
• Coordinate with internal customers and suppliers on DFM, cost and schedule.
• Build prototypes of system components for evaluation and testing.
• Assist in creation of test procedures and coordinating testing.
• Contribute to cross-functional teams and navigate ambiguity.
• Improve processes to meet customer requirements.
• Suggest innovations to improve product quality and processes.
