Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Paint Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3pm-1am) in Chattanooga, TN. The role offers a 10-15% premium, paid lunch, 3-day weekends, and opportunities for transfer to 1st shift after 3 years.

You’ll paint aircraft exteriors and interiors, apply base coats and top coats, and prepare surfaces with masking, sanding, and layout work. Training and advancement are available in a fast-paced MRO setting.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vo-tech school in paint or on-the-job experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license; passport ideal.

Responsibilities

• Masking and taping aircraft parts to avoid overspray.
• Sanding primer.
• Blowing and cleaning aircraft with thinner.
• Washing the paint booth.
• Applying all layers of paint to include top coat.
• Laying out stripe and design schemes.
• Prep and scuff paint to get ready for trim.
• Re-masking aircraft and detail work.
• Inspect completed paint jobs.
• Paint mixing and paint matching.
• Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
• Maintain customer oriented work habits.
