Job summary

West Star Aviation is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Chattanooga, TN. The role covers maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, with 2nd shift hours and a potential transfer to 1st shift after three years.

Benefits begin at start, including medical, dental, 401K match, and weekly pay. You will work on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, perform engine removal/installations, and operate ground support equipment.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0-2 years of AMT I experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
• 2-4 years of AMT II experience; corporate aircraft experience preferred.
• 4-6+ years AMT III experience; full knowledge of routine to complex maintenance.
• 6+ years AMT IV experience; subject matter expert on corporate aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
• De-fueling aircraft.
• Engine removal/installations.
• Operating ground support equipment.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Effectively communicate in English.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
