Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Chattanooga, TN seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3pm–1am). The role involves troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of sophisticated civilian aircraft with opportunities to transfer to 1st shift after three years.

AMT I–IV paths outlined with progressive experience and licensing requirements. Benefits start immediately upon hire, including medical, dental, 401K match, paid time off and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0-2 years aviation maintenance experience (AMT I).
• 2-4 years aviation maintenance experience (AMT II).
• 4-6+ years aviation maintenance experience (AMT III).
• 6+ years on corporate aircraft (AMT IV) recommended.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
• De-fueling aircraft.
• Engine removal/installations.
• Operating ground support equipment.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases.
• Communicate in English clearly (spoken/written/read).
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
