Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Paint Technician for 2nd shift in Grand Junction, CO. The role involves preparing surfaces, masking, painting, and inspecting completed work in a busy hangar environment.

You will work Monday-Thursday, 3pm-1am, with a shift premium and opportunities for training and advancement. We offer benefits from day one, a 10%-15% shift premium, paid lunch, and 3-day weekends with potential transfer to 1st shift after 3 years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Vo-tech/paint training preferred but not required.
• Experience painting aircraft or similar surfaces is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Masking and taping aircraft parts to avoid overspray.
• Sanding primer and preparing surfaces for painting.
• Applying multiple layers of paint including top coats and stripe layouts.
• Inspecting completed paint jobs and ensuring quality and safety.
• Follow FAA guidelines and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
