Job summary

West Star Aviation in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Paint Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3pm–1am). You will paint aircraft parts, apply base coats, and lay out stripe and design schemes, ensuring high-quality finishes in a busy hangar.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; vo-tech painting background is preferred. Experience levels range from Tech I to Master Tech, with supervision appropriate to each level. A valid driver's license and ability to travel by air are ideal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vo-tech in paint preferred.
• Valid driver's license and travel ability ideal.
• Experience in aviation painting or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Masking and taping to prevent overspray.
• Sand/prime surfaces and apply base coats.
• Lay out stripe/design schemes and inspect finished jobs.
• Maintain the paint booth and clean work area.
• Follow FAA guidelines and safety rules.
