Job description

The Aircraft Mechanic II serves as the MH-60M non-rated crewmember Flight Instructor.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate assigned crew chiefs (CE) and track flight training records.
  • Train and certify individuals on APU engine runs.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft.
  • Conduct pre-flight and daily inspections.
Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Minimum of 500 flight hours, including 100 in the MH-60M.
  • Flight records for verification of hours and training.
  • Completion of one of the following Nonrated Crewmember Flight Instructor courses: Fort Rucker, AL (600-ASI N1 for CH-47 or UH-60) or EAATS, Pa.; or Fort Campbell, Ky. (600-ASI N1 for MH-47 or MH-60).
  • Documented Military/DOD service school training.
  • Possession or ability to pass a FAA second class flight physical.
  • Own tools and toolbox.
  • Availability for TDY missions of 1-2 weeks.
