Akima Technical Solutions (ATS) is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic I - Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to work in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

This role involves working on components from three MDS aircraft: MH-6/MH-47/MH-60, inspecting, adjusting, repairing, and returning to service power train components including gearboxes, rotor heads, tail rotor systems, stabilators, rotor dampeners, and other components. NDT inspections are performed as required, using supplied technical references, with all work documented in ACN. PPE and hazmat products are used in accordance with technical publications.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain secret clearance.
• Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): documented OJT, minimum training hours in Eddy Current, Fluorescent Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Ultrasound inspection methods, with specific method, aircraft type, results, and hours listed. Expected to become certified as Level II in at least two inspection methods in accordance with NAS-410.
• Ability to follow written procedures and interpret inspection results.
• Own tools and toolbox.
• Pass required NDT vision testing.
• Familiarity with digital record keeping systems such as ACN, ULLS-A, ELAS, etc.
• Minimum of 6 years in aviation maintenance, with at least 2 years in a back shop environment.
