Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I to perform a broad range of aircraft maintenance tasks across engines, hydraulics, electrical and structure, following directions from higher graded workers.

The role requires interpreting maintenance manuals, service bulletins and engineering data to determine repair feasibility, with duties including inspecting and replacing components, and ensuring safety standards. A valid FAA credential may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 years’ recent aircraft maintenance experience; 5 years preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of technical publications for aircraft maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preflight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections.
• Repair and replace components on engines, hydraulics, electrical and airframe systems.
• Read and use maintenance manuals and data to determine repair methods.
