Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I (Pneudraulics) at Fort Hood, TX to maintain, modify, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems that actuate flight controls and power units. You will interpret manuals, test for malfunctions, and overhaul components.

This role requires a high school diploma, aviation maintenance experience, and the ability to work with various hydraulic/pneumatic subsystems. A&P license is optional; US citizenship and a valid driver's license are required; you must

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training is desired; certification of education level is required.
• Valid up-to-date A&P license (optional).
• Shall have three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two years on the assigned MDS. All experience must be within the six most recent years.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must provide own tools/toolbox. Recruiters will provide toolbox requirements to candidates upon selection.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, modifies, and repairs hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components that actuate mechanisms or produce, control, and regulate the flow of fluids.
• Tests for and isolates malfunctions in hydraulic and pneumatic systems or components using manuals and schematics.
• Overhauls systems or components and prepares forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
• Requisitions bench stock for repair of powertrain systems and subcomponents, and prepares parts turn-in requests.
