NorthState Aviation in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced aircraft maintenance program manager to plan, schedule, and oversee hangar and line maintenance for designated customer programs. The role requires a Bachelor's in Aircraft Maintenance Technology or related field, 8+ years in the field including 5+ in leadership, and strong MS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology or related field; or equivalent background providing knowledge of appropriate business, industry, and technical principles, procedures and management techniques.
  • English reading, writing and speaking proficiency for safety-sensitive work per FAA requirements.
  • Minimum 8 years related experience, including at least five years in project management and supervisory capacity.
  • Integrated technical and operations management experience.
  • MS Office applications to include Outlook, Excel, Word, and Project.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage all activities of aircraft maintenance and repair operations on a customer program, including hangar and line maintenance.
  • Provide liaison with customers and Project Supervisors to ensure customer satisfaction while managing cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations and company policy.
  • Responsible for budgetary items including fixed hours, T&M hours, EBITDA, leftover material and TAT.
  • Manage the program team to address issues within specifications and escalate to the Director of Maintenance as needed.
  • Prepare customer requirement plans to achieve milestones; prepare reports and status sheets reflecting aircraft status.
  • Maintain liaison with management in other functional areas to exchange information and resolve problems.
  • Initiate and approve personnel actions including PTO, pay changes, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and leaves.
  • Interview, select and/or recommend hires; provide training for departmental personnel.
  • Document, report, and investigate all accidents per SMS policy and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
