Job summary

Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to join as instructors. You will deliver FAA Part 147‑aligned curriculum and provide hands‑on instruction to students preparing for careers as aircraft maintenance technicians (AMTs).

This role is ideal for experienced A&P mechanics who want to transition into teaching, with a 5-day paid instructor training program and flexible schedule options (Day or Evening).

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Associate degree preferred
• At least 3 years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance systems
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)

Responsibilities

• Teach FAA-aligned curriculum in a positive classroom environment
• Develop and revise high-quality course materials
• Record attendance, grades, and evaluations accurately
• Notify leadership of concerns affecting student performance
• Complete required training and participate in observations/evaluations
• Perform other tasks assigned by Supervisor
