Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor to teach FAA Part 147-aligned curriculum and mentor students in classroom and hangar settings. This part-time role welcomes hands-on AMTs ready to train the next generation of aviation technicians.

No prior teaching experience is required. AIM offers a 5-day paid instructor training program to help you transition smoothly, with an instance of evening schedule: Option 2, Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-11:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in aviation or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification required.
• Experience mentoring and delivering hands-on training is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Teach FAA Part 147-aligned aviation maintenance curriculum in a hands-on setting.
• Deliver curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification.
• Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics and aviation technicians.
• Maintain attendance, grades, and student progress records.
• Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership.
