Job summary

Aviation Institute of Maintenance is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Instructors to deliver FAA Part 147-aligned curriculum and hands-on instruction at our campuses nationwide. This onsite role welcomes experienced AMTs, aircraft mechanics, and FAA-certified A&P mechanics to mentor the next generation.

No teaching experience required; AIM provides a 5-day paid instructor training program. Full-time and part-time schedules, with day and, where needed, evening options; sign-on and relocation

Qualifications

• Must have FAA A&P certificate and 3+ years maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Strong mentoring and communication to teach hands-on skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach aircraft maintenance systems and hands-on techniques.
• Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P cert.
• Demonstrate practical maintenance skills to students.
• Maintain attendance, grades, and progress records.
• Support curriculum updates with program leadership.
• Create a structured, safe learning environment.
• Maintain classroom and training materials.
