Job summary

V2X is hiring an aircraft maintenance technician in Maryland under a Collective Bargaining Agreement. The role involves entering logs, adhering to military aviation standards, and performing maintenance on aircraft systems and components.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of specialized courses in aircraft structural repair is desired.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• May enter data in aircraft logs and records, prioritizing workload to meet schedules.
• Comply with all current sections of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 related to aircraft maintenance and ALSS.
• Inspect, replace, and adjust parts such as control cables, fuel tanks, spark plugs, tires, batteries and filters with mechanical tools.
• Remove inspection plates and access for inspection and repair, then restore items when work is complete.
• Disconnect instruments, ignition systems, and fuel/oil lines.
• Assist in dismantling and repairing engines, plumbing, hydraulic systems, and aircraft structures.
• Furnish materials, tools, and supplies; assist in lifting, cleaning work areas and equipment.
• Clean aircraft and assemblies with solvents; perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Inflate tires, fill tanks and lubricate aircraft; assist in servicing before flight.
