Job summary

V2X in Maryland is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic under a CBA position to troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems, including engines, hydraulics, fuel, and electrical, ensuring safe operation. You will work under supervision and may lead teams on complex tasks when required.

The role requires four years of experience and specialized repair training, with a DoD Secret clearance. Competitive compensation in a union environment.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Completion of specialized courses in aircraft structural repair is required.
• Four (4) years actual and recent experience in the repair, modification, maintenance and overhaul of the C-130 aircraft.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
• Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components; disassembles and inspects parts; repairs or replaces defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine.
• Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories; performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections.
• Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine malfunctions.
• Supervises jacking and towing of aircraft and may service engines and airframe components.
