Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Interior Technician to work on sophisticated private aircraft in East Alton, IL. You will perform installation/removal of carpeting, insulation, and fabric accessories, plus minor electrical work and refurbishments under the Interior Team Leader. A high school diploma is required and a valid driver’s license or passport is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license or passport ideal, but not required.
• Ability to read reports and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft interiors and related systems.
• Perform minor modifications with minimal direction.
• Maintain daily turnover sheets, work orders, and weight/balance data.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling in good condition.
• Use basic computer tools to access training, manuals, and maintenance data bases.
• Keep the work area clean and safe; follow all safety rules.
