Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Interior Technician in Cahokia Heights, IL to install and repair aircraft interiors, including carpeting, insulation, soundproofing, and fabric accessories.

You will perform mechanical tasks on interiors, handle basic electrical work, and support modifications and refurbishments under supervision. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work overtime/weekends are expected.
• Basic computer skills to navigate training and maintenance data bases.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft interiors and related systems.
• Carry out minor modifications with minimal direction.
• Complete daily turnover sheets, work orders, and weight/balance data.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
• Communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken.
• Assist in major modification work as needed.
