Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT, is seeking an Engine and Parts Inspector for the 2nd shift onsite. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections on turbine airfoils and related parts, determining acceptance or rejection and maintaining rigorous records.

The role requires at least 2 years of aircraft trades training or equivalent experience and demonstrated experience with engine construction and inspection methods. Candidates should be prepared for a hands-on, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of aircraft trades training or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of work experience in aircraft engine construction, operation and related inspection methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic dimensional and visual inspection of turbine airfoils and related components using established procedures.
• Accept or reject material based on inspection findings; transport parts, raw materials and fixtures as needed.
• Follow written inspection procedures, drawings, and instructions to plan and perform dimensional, visual, and water/airflow inspections.
• Utilize standard measuring techniques and equipment to verify part accuracy and make disposition decisions.
• Conduct in-line checks and verify dimensions, ensuring operation sheets are followed.
• Identify when equipment requires repair or replacement and arrange accordingly.
• Complete logs and QA forms; maintain records as required.
