Job summary

Aviation Technical Services in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Composite/Sheet Metal Mechanic 1 to service, repair, and overhaul aircraft to ensure airworthiness. You will work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced aviation maintenance environment.

The role includes hands-on repair and modification of composite and sheet metal components, reading maintenance manuals, using OEM drawings, and following safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Airframe and/or Power plant License and level of skill customarily acquired after one year as a General Mechanic, or three years of related commercial / military aircraft experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Repair, modify, replace or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized area of aircraft.
• Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data. Conduct operational tests.
• Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification.
• Complete job assignments in a timely manner.
