Job summary

Amentum in Texas seeks an Aircraft Composite Specialist to maintain repairs and modify aircraft structures and components of moderate difficulty, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems.

You will perform daily maintenance on assigned aircraft, inspections, corrosion control, fault isolation, and log entries; lead teams when needed and prioritize workloads.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold a current airframe and power plant (A&P) certificate.
• Broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair.
• Working knowledge of military and general aviation aircraft airframe and engine logbooks.
• Basic knowledge of electrical theory.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose malfunctions and restore equipment operation.
• Perform daily, flight line and hangar maintenance on all assigned aircraft.
• Conduct inspections, corrosion control, troubleshooting and fault isolation on aircraft systems.
• Furnish own hand tools to perform maintenance; specialized tools and test equipment provided as needed by Customs.
• May lead teams through more complex tasks.
• May enter data into aircraft logs and records.
• Prioritize workload schedules on assigned projects.
