Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Wichita, Kansas seeks a skilled Composite Mechanic to repair and overhaul aerospace components in an FAA approved Repair Station. You will work with a team to fabricate and repair composite and metal parts, following engineering manuals and customer specifications.

The role requires experience in taper sanding, lay-up, and septum core replacement, with 5+ years preferred. Be prepared for tests and phone interviews as part of the selection process.

Qualifications

• Experience with taper sanding, lay-up, septum core remove and replace capabilities.
• 5+ years' of experience in Composite Repair is preferred.
• Selected workers will be tested on above skills during training.
• Phone interviews will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in FAA approved Repair Station per manuals and procedures.
• Work with teams to repair and overhaul composite and metal parts.
• Fabricate assemblies and repairs non-metallic and metal components.
• Verify dimensions using precision measurement tools; may perform first article inspection.
• Capture and translate measurement data to meet engineering intent.
