Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic-Avionics in Fallon, NV to perform organizational, intermediate and limited depot level maintenance on aircraft and equipment. You will troubleshoot complex avionics, read manuals, and support aircrew during de-briefs in a dynamic hangar or flight-line setting.

The role requires three years of experience, corrosion expertise, and the ability to obtain required clearances.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience.
• Experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
• Must obtain/maintain required qualifications, certifications, or clearance.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior military personnel must present DD214 with Honorable discharge.
• Must be able to work all shifts and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Tests and troubleshoots complex avionics/electrical systems and subsystems.
• Provides technical guidance and communicates with aircrew during de-briefs.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, directives, publications and procedures.
• Work in hangar/shop/flight line environments with associated physical demands.
• May perform off-site service on detachments.
