Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic-Aviation Life Support Services (PR) to perform maintenance and troubleshooting on aircraft, components and survival gear. You will interpret manuals and directives to ensure safety and mission readiness.

The role requires PR A School or US Air Force equivalent, 3+ years of relevant experience, corrosion expertise, and the ability to obtain a US Secret clearance. Fallon, NV location with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Qualified PR A School graduate or USAF school graduate per COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2.
Minimum of three years within the last five years practical experience at the organizational or intermediate level.
Experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
Recent experience with F-18A-F, EA-18G, E-2C, MH-60S or F-16A/B aircraft required.
Possess a high degree of expertise of aircraft systems.
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of maintenance manuals and test equipment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Government Clearance.
Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Possess valid State Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Perform organizational, intermediate and limited depot level maintenance on aircraft and equipment.
Install and remove cartridge actuated devices and propulsion devices.
Pack and maintain parachutes and survival kits.
Repair pilots’ personal equipment and aircrew survival gear.
Issue and track aircrew survival equipment and checkout records.
Inspect oxygen mask assemblies, survival vests, helmets and related equipment.
Conduct aircraft condition and special inspections of survival equipment.
