Wabtec in Kansas City, MO is hiring an Airbrake Technician for direct hire. You will inspect, assemble, and pack air brake products, maintaining safety, quality, and production goals on a fast-paced shift.

The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, familiarity with hand, power, and pneumatic tools, and strict adherence to work instructions and 5S practices. Competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Competenze

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety requirements.
Ability to safely use hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Mansioni

Disassemble air brake components using hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
Clean, wash, buff, and prepare components for remanufacturing.
Inspect parts and identify defects, damage, or non-conforming conditions.
Follow detailed work instructions, SOPs, routing documents, and safety procedures.
Process materials according to production schedules and workflow requirements.
Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace following 5S standards.
Rotate between workstations and support production flow as needed.
Communicate production issues, material shortages, and safety concerns to leadership.
Cross-train in multiple work areas to support operational flexibility.
