Job summary

Raytheon in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Digital Hardware Design Engineer to contribute to airborne radar hardware design, RTL development, FPGA/ASIC design, verification, and hardware bring-up. You will work with experienced engineers on RTL, synthesis, and lab bring-up for cutting-edge radar systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major by start date.
• Experience with digital logic design fundamentals including RTL design, FPGA/ASIC workflows, DSP concepts, and timing analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement digital hardware blocks using Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL.
• Develop RTL for FPGA/ASIC-based systems.
• Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Create and execute simulation testbenches for functional verification.
• Debug RTL, simulation, synthesis, and hardware integration issues.
• Collaborate with verification, physical design, firmware, and system engineering teams.
• Support FPGA prototyping, lab bring-up, and silicon validation activities.
• Analyze timing, area, power, and performance tradeoffs.
• Document designs, test plans, and engineering results.
• Learn and apply industry-standard EDA tools and design methodologies.
