Job summary

RTX is seeking a highly motivated Digital Hardware Design Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. You will contribute to the design, development, verification, and validation of airborne radar hardware for defense applications, working on RTL development for FPGA/ASIC systems.

The role emphasizes collaboration with experienced engineers, architecture discussions, and thorough verification. A Master’s degree and DoD clearance readiness are required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement digital hardware blocks using Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL.
• Develop RTL for FPGA and/or ASIC-based systems.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
• Create and execute simulation testbenches for functional verification.
• Debug RTL, simulation, synthesis, and hardware integration issues.
• Collaborate with verification, physical design, firmware, and system engineering teams.
• Support FPGA prototyping, lab bring-up, and silicon validation activities.
• Analyze timing, area, power, and performance tradeoffs.
• Document designs, test plans, and engineering results.
