Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, plus 17 years of applicable experience.
• Prior experience on construction project sites or executing program management in aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water industries preferred.
• Demonstrated success in business development, client management, and team leadership preferred.
• Experience supporting modern delivery methods and digital transformation initiatives preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment, with overtime on short notice.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work collaboratively with owners, contractors, engineers, designers in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Drive business performance through sales, revenue, gross margin, backlog, and utilization metrics.
• Develop annual business plans and growth strategies.
• Lead national growth initiatives and major pursuits, with executive-level client engagement.
• Champion commercialization of new service offerings and digital solutions.
• Collaborate with TSLs and Regional Offices to forecast workforce demand and secure resources for growth.
• Align regional teams around common strategic goals and oversee investments and growth priorities.
• Build and sustain strategic client relationships and strengthen Burns & McDonnell’s brand.
• Mentor future business leaders and support succession planning.
