Job summary

Expeditors in the United States is seeking an Air & Ocean Exports Agent to ensure timely and accurate movement of freight, while delivering exceptional customer service across air and ocean exports and supporting teammates in a compliance-driven environment.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, adherence to TSA/FMC regulations, and proactive communication with customers and partners to keep shipments moving and status updated in real time.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar position or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
• Understanding of air & ocean export process (preferred).
• Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, comprehend and communicate clearly.
• Pro‑active and self‑motivated.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Understand Expeditors’ general procedures and quality expectations (District Excellence).
• Follow OPS/OPA and improve operational performance, efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure accurate data entry into Expeditors’ system per OPS.
• Execute air and ocean exports using system/workflows and reports.
• Provide high level customer service and updates as shipments move.
• Maintain relationships with customers, brokers, airlines and vendors.
• Escalate issues to supervisor or required department to resolve.
• Comply with TSA, FMC, and export regulations at all times.
