Job summary

Altius Talent | Freight Forwarding Recruitment in Los Angeles is seeking an Air and Ocean Freight Specialist to own international shipments end to end across air and ocean. You will manage bookings, documentation, customs clearance and delivery, collaborating directly with clients, carriers and overseas agents.

Job description

A Swedish privately owned freight forwarder is adding an Air and Ocean Freight Specialist to its Los Angeles team. You would manage international shipments end to end across both air and ocean, import and export, taking each file from booking through documentation, customs clearance and delivery. It is a role with genuine ownership, working directly with clients, carriers and overseas agents.

Day to day

• Coordinate air and ocean shipments, both import and export, from booking through to delivery.
• Prepare the documentation, including MBLs, HBLs, AWBs, commercial invoices and certificates of origin.
• File ISF and AMS, book carriers and co-loaders, and manage customs clearance.
• Track shipments and keep clients updated, flagging any problems early.

You'll fit if
