Job summary

PHI Health in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Communications Supervisor to lead a dynamic EMS communications team. You will schedule, coach, and mentor staff, ensure coverage, and coordinate with vendors to maintain critical communication systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience as a communications specialist with EMS background.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills under pressure.
• Knowledge of radio/medical terminology highly preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems and office equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to pass pre-placement drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily supervisory functions: scheduling, staffing, assessments, and training.
• On-call coordination for after-hours issues.
• Coach and mentor Communication Specialists to meet team needs.
• Cover Communication Specialist duties as needed to maintain coverage.
• Maintain and verify transport documentation accuracy.
• Manage equipment and coordinate maintenance with vendors.
• Develop relationships with internal/external customers and agencies.
• Prepare and present CQI data and reports for management.
