Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an Operational Care Specialist to coordinate shipments in the United States. You will book with partners, generate documentation, monitor each shipment, and handle deviations to meet customer transit times.

You will collaborate with customer care, carriers, gateway teams, and other partners to secure capacity, optimise routes, and maximise on-time delivery while adhering to KN standards and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of air logistics preferred.

Qualifications

• Freight forwarding/logistics experience required.
• Air Logistics 1+ year preferred.
• Analytical and organizing skills required.
• Time management and problem solving abilities.
• Teamwork and accountability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform operational activities reliably, accurately and on time, meeting customer deliverables.
• Follow the communication concept for effective stakeholder communication.
• Monitor shipments, follow up on deviations with timely updates for visibility and costs.
• Review CCL instructions to resolve conflicts with regulatory requirements and routing.
• Immediately report problems, disputes or discrepancies to supervisors.
• Collaborate with partners/suppliers, gateway, warehouse, customs teams and external parties as needed.
• Monitor carrier performance and improve where commitments are not met.
• Collaborate with Optimization Team to maximise systems utilization and reduce manual work.
• Maximise profitability through cost optimization.
• Participate in process improvement and implement changes.
• Work with Sales and Customer Care on account implementation for smooth transition from sales to operations.
