Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an Operational Care Specialist in the United States to coordinate air export and import activities, ensuring on-time performance and compliant documentation. You will liaise with customers, carriers, and gateways, generating required paperwork and monitoring shipments from booking to handoff.

The role requires 2+ years in air logistics and freight forwarding, with strong attention to detail, communication, and regulatory understanding.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of air logistics experience.
• 2+ years in freight forwarding.

• Proven airfreight knowledge and customer service mindset.
• Regulatory awareness and ability to work in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute all air export or import operational activities accurately, compliantly, and within established timelines.
• Coordinate with customers, origin stations, carriers, overseas offices, and internal stakeholders for seamless execution and visibility.
• Monitor export shipments from booking through departure to final destination handoff with timely updates and accurate documentation.
• Prepare and validate export documentation to ensure compliance with international trade requirements.
• Resolve discrepancies related to routing, schedules, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Escalate delays or risks and drive timely corrective actions.
• Collaborate with airlines, gateways, warehouses, brokers, and RCC teams for successful export execution.
• Monitor carrier performance and capacity, escalating concerns and identifying alternatives when needed.
• Partner with Optimization Team to enhance export processes and reduce manual interventions.
• Drive profitability through cost management, carrier selection, and adherence to pricing and SOPs.
• Identify opportunities for operational excellence and customer experience improvements.
• Support onboarding and implementation with Sales and Customer Care for aerospace export transitions.
