Job description

• Monitor the ingress, movement, and egress of persons accessing Company facilities and controlled airport areas
• Maintain logs of cargo entering and leaving the facility as required
• Comply with TSA regulations and guidelines for escorts and identification of personally owned vehicles in secured areas
• Visually monitor controlled-area activity and challenge unauthorized individuals according to established guidelines
• Respond to emergency situations involving security breaches under TSA and airport regulations
• Screen cargo in accordance with TSA regulations as assigned
• Maintain Sensitive Security Information (SSI) according to established procedures
• Monitor activities of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors
• Report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, and non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or through the WFS whistleblower program
• Comply with the WFS site security plan for the assigned warehouse
• Provide professional, courteous, cautious, and efficient access control in stressful conditions
• Use established security guidelines, independent judgment, and decisiveness
• Wear the prescribed company uniform and insignia
• Maintain a favorable corporate image through appropriate appearance and grooming
• Give directions and information to employees, customers, and vendors

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 1 year of security experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must undergo initial and recurrent training
• Regular and timely attendance
• Public contact experience preferred
• Strong oral communication skills
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk for an eight-hour shift
• Ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift, twist, and turn
• Must be able to see clearly in low-light conditions
• Ability to remain in a confined workstation for prolonged periods
