Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. is seeking a Supervisor, Air Import to oversee the day-to-day operations of the air import team in Itasca. You will supervise coordinators, coordinate shipments, and ensure compliance with customer requirements and company policies.

You will communicate with customers and carriers, resolve issues, and ensure accurate documentation while delivering excellent service. A strong background in air imports and regulatory knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years in air import operations; 2+ years in supervision/management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the air import coordinators to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor import shipments for compliance with customer requirements and policies.
• Communicate with customers, carriers and stakeholders for timely delivery.
• Resolve shipment issues such as delays, damages or customs problems.
• Ensure accurate documentation (air waybills, invoices, etc.).
• Provide excellent customer service and meet/exceed expectations.
• Ensure compliance with customs, import controls, and hazardous materials rules.
• Contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
