Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. is seeking an Air Import Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the air import team, ensuring accurate and timely processing in line with customer requirements and company policies.

The role involves supervising coordinators, coordinating shipments, communicating with customers and carriers, and resolving issues while maintaining compliance with regulations. A bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics or related field is preferred, with at least 5 years in air import

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, international business, or a related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in air import operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of air import operations, documentation, and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Familiarity with TMS and/or ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of air import coordinators to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Monitor and manage the flow of import shipments to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company policies.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments.
• Resolve issues related to shipments, such as delays, damages, or customs clearance problems.
• Ensure that all documentation is accurate and complete, including air waybills, invoices, and other import documents.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including customs regulations, import controls, and hazardous materials regulations.
• Participate in process improvements to increase efficiency and quality of service.
