Job summary

You will supervise a team of import coordinators, build strong customer/vendor relationships, and drive KPIs to improve cost and service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is required.
• Prior experience in air imports and supervisory experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the importation of goods by air, including carrier selection, booking, and movement of goods through various transportation channels.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and other third-party service providers to ensure efficient and effective delivery of cargo.
• Collaborate with other internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as cargo delivery times, costs, and quality.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of service delivery.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve service quality, and enhance customer satisfaction.
