Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Chicago is seeking an Air Import Supervisor to lead the local Air Freight Import team, driving performance and ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering outstanding customer experience.

You will oversee end-to-end processes, partner with internal teams, manage month-end reporting and KPIs, and coach staff under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of freight forwarding experience, preferably air/import.
• 1+ years in a leadership/supervisory role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; CargoWise a plus.
• Experience in a unionized environment is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong presentation skills.
• Strong computer skills: MS Office Suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).
• Proven ability to drive KPIs and build high-performing teams.
• Ability to coach, train and mentor staff for success.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with and motivate a unionized workforce in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Overview:

Pay Range: $79,777.50 – $106,370.00+ (Based on Experience)
