Job summary

Openwork is seeking an experienced Air Import Agent in Houston, TX to coordinate air freight imports from origin to destination. You will ensure compliance with customs and documentation, and liaise with airlines, brokers, and logistics partners for timely delivery.

The role requires hands-on air import experience, 3+ years in the field, and strong attention to detail. This temp-to-hire position offers a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of import/export experience with a focus on air freight.
• Hands-on air import experience required.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and import documentation.
• Experience coordinating with airlines, customs brokers and logistics partners.
• Strong organization and time-management skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software (WebCargo or CargoWise).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage air freight import shipments from origin to final destination.

Openwork is hiring an experienced Air Import Agent for an international logistics operation in Houston, TX 77073. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented logistics professional with strong, hands‑on experience coordinating air freight imports from origin through final destination.

Qualified candidates must have 3+ years of import/export experience with a focus on air freight, along with knowledge of import documentation, customs requirements, shipment tracking, and customer service.

Position at a Glance:

Location: Houston, TX 77073
Pay: $23.00–$27.00 per hour, based on experience | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Overtime & Weekends: Occasional, based on business needs
